About Tom

From cocktail parties to Carnegie Hall, Tom Leighton has been entertaining audiences across the United States for nearly two decades

Originally from Saugerties, NY, Tom completed his studies in classical voice at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He went on to explore character tenor, concert, and contemporary repertoire with the opera companies and symphony orchestras of Madison, Milwaukee, and Nashville. Currently he sings in the symphonic choirs of the Philadelphia Orchestra and New York Philharmonic, collaborating with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Gustavo Dudamel.

Singing along to dad’s guitar as his earliest musical memory, Tom is also a longtime entertainment fixture along the Jersey Shore, appearing in resort destinations like Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, and Atlantic City. Guitar in hand or seated behind the piano, his passion for delivering unique and genuine arrangements of popular songs has led to private engagements of all types across the country and as far south as São Paulo, Brazil.
